Logitech puts up second price drop for Revue with Google TV

Le 18 March 2014, 08:24 dans Humeurs 0

Despite Logitechs clarifications that more customers are returning the Revue than buying them, the company has announced a price drop of the Google TV set-top box - from US$249 to an incredible US$99. In fact, this is the second time the price of the Logitech Revue has been lowered; the first was in May when the price fell from US$299 to US$249. Whether or not the product is selling well is anyones guess, though the company insisted that itmostly sells to distributors and retailers, not directly to consumers, and"returns of the product were higher than the very modest sales".

Logitechalso said thatan automatic software update will be rolled out later this summer, whichwill see the addition ofGoogle Android 3.1 Honeycombexperience to users, as well as access to the Android Market. And hopefully, the drastic fall in price would sway consumers over to get the Logitech Revue.

Logitech has announced their new Pure-Fi Dream Premium Bedroom Music System for iPod which claims to be the ideal bedroom audio system for iPod lovers. Sporting a stylish black exterior, it incorporates unique motion- and light-sensing technology, built-in digital AM/FM radio and a dual alarm with battery backup.

You can easily control the Pure-Fi Dream in a dark room - the motion-sensitive backlit control buttons automatically light up when you wave your hand over the top of the speaker. And with the light sensors embedded into the display, the display automatically brightens during the day for easier reading from across the room and dims sufficiently in the evening to allow you to see information like song title and artist name.

The Pure-Fi is equipped with 3/4-inch high-definition, soft-dome tweeters and 3-inch high-power, long-throw woofers. Together with Logitech's proprietary StereoXL technology, you can have a wider soundfield and superior audio experience.

The Pure-Fi Dream speakers offer one-button access to iPod playlists and radio stations. There are 24 separate presets available - 6 iPod playlists, 6 AM radio stations and 12 FM radio stations. The dual-alarm can be set to go off to an iPod track or playlist, radio station, or buzzer.

Logitech also include a remote control for user to select their favorite iPod playlists, radio stations, control Volume, skip, play, pause, shuffle or repeat tracks, and snooze the alarm from across the room.

The Logitech Pure-Fi Dream is expected to be available in February at a suggested retail price of SGD399.
